There’s nothing like looking in a new direction to get a better perspective. Lately I’ve felt swamped with my “Things to Do” list and my niggling self expectations have me feeling drained. But going for a walk and setting my intention to explore and see something new makes me feel lighter. I am more open to possibilities when I’m walking outside, breathing fresh air and feeling my body warm from exercise. My mind becomes clearer and I am able to sort out some priorities. Looking up into the green tree branches dazzles me. The movement of leaves, the grace of reaching branches makes my worries feel smaller.
When you are feeling overwhelmed, try going for a walk and search for something that will, for a moment, take your breath away in wonder. Look up, breathe deeply and gain a different perspective!
